Services
Physiotherapy
Our physiotherapy service addresses musculoskeletal conditions through comprehensive assessment and tailored treatment plans. We combine manual therapy techniques with structured exercise programmes to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent recurrence. Patients receive detailed action plans outlining diagnosis, prognosis, and recovery timelines. Our clinicians utilise evidence-based approaches for treating sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions across all age groups.
IDD Therapy
IDD Therapy targets disc-related conditions using computerised spinal decompression to relieve nerve pressure and promote disc healing. This non-invasive treatment creates negative pressure in affected discs, encouraging nutrient flow and tissue repair. Patients typically undergo 20 sessions over 6-8 weeks, with protocols adjusted based on individual progress. The therapy effectively addresses herniated discs, sciatica, and chronic back/neck pain unresponsive to conventional treatments.
Sports Massage
Our sports massage therapy combines remedial and deep tissue techniques to address muscular tension and sports-related injuries. Treatments focus on improving circulation, reducing muscle soreness, and enhancing athletic performance. Therapists employ effleurage, petrissage, and neuromuscular techniques tailored to individual needs. Sessions often complement physiotherapy rehabilitation programmes for accelerated recovery from sports injuries and overuse conditions.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave Therapy utilises high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate healing in chronic tendon conditions. This non-invasive treatment promotes tissue regeneration and reduces pain for conditions like plantar fasciitis and gluteal tendinopathy. Patients typically receive three sessions over three weeks, with a follow-up session after six weeks. The therapy effectively addresses chronic tendon injuries unresponsive to other conservative treatments.
Children's Physiotherapy
Specialised physiotherapy for infants, children, and adolescents addresses developmental delays, congenital conditions, and sports injuries. Our paediatric specialists consider growth patterns and developmental stages when treating conditions like intoeing, Osgood Schlatter's disease, and hypermobility. Treatment incorporates play-based activities to engage young patients while improving mobility, strength, and functional abilities through age-appropriate interventions.

I first met Dan over twenty years ago having just had spinal fusion surgery. He was brilliant at helping me recover. Recently I needed more physio on my back and hip and managed to track him down at Sports and Spinal having tried a few local physiotherapists. The clinic is run very professionally which I found very reassuring. Dan has worked really hard over the last few months with exercise plans to strengthen my back and hip.

He has been particularly great in helping me understand what pain is and how to manage it. When I have been struggling a bit with mobility he has been so reassuring both physically and emotionally and is a brilliant motivator. I can totally recommend Sports and Spinal Physio.

I went to Sports & Spinal with a tennis-based injury to my shoulder. Andrew took a detailed history and carried out numerous tests before deciding an appropriate course of action. All exercises prescribed were explained, demonstrated and helpfully, followed up with an email outlining the exercises again. Andrew was excellent to deal with; knowledgeable, professional and very encouraging throughout the time I saw him. He was good to his original word in that I was back on court within 6 weeks of diagnosis. Cannot recommend highly enough.
